In 1612, the Monoceros constellation was first depicted on a globe as a unicorn. Dutch cartographer Petrus Plancius called it the "Monoceros Unicorni." On a star map, Monoceros sits between Orion and Hydra. The "Monoceros, Canis Minor, and Atelier Typographique" astronomical chart we used here was created by Sidney Hall in 1825.
